We need your support! The health of the children is critical to the adoption process!!
In 2012, the TWEMI began funding a nurse’s salary and medical supplies for the “Bahay Aurora Orphanage” in Rizal Philippines. Bahay Aurora is a home for children located in a very rural area of Rizal. As of 2016, there are approximately 30 to 36 children at the orphanage that range between 4 and 18 years of age. One of the greatest needs continues to be an onsite nurse and medical supplies.
Because of its location, it is very difficult to provide the minimum health care to the children at the site. Increasing healthcare provisions would greatly benefit the children at the home.
Medical Supplies and equipment are purchased by the pound from MedShare International Organization facility in Decatur, Georgia and shipped by MedShare to the orphanage or via discounted Federal Express.
Your donations will help fund the following items needed for the children at the Bahay Aurora Orphanage.
1. Staffing: The monthly expenses for on-site registered nurse.
2. Equipment: Medical equipment is desperately needed. For example, currently the children must use a cardboard table covered only with sheets as a medical table while receiving services.
3. Supplies: Various medical supplies are needed for the children. These items includes: crutches, slings, bandages, stethoscopes, iodine, children thermometers, gauzes and many other items.
4. Medicine: Medicine including vitamins; currently, the children do not receive any vitamins due to the high price of medicine in the Philippines.
5. Clothing: Donations will be used to purchase clothing locally to eliminate customs charges.
6. Technology: Data backup drives are needed for Medical Records and a printer.
We seek your assistance and Tax-Deductible (501c3) Donations for our medical clinic and other mission projects.
